Northern Humboldt Engagement Portraits - Amanda + Derrick - Orick, California

I met these two at the Lighthouse Grill before our engagement portrait session and somehow convinced them to follow me to a location an hour and a half away... a location I had only seen in photographs.

We drove up highway 101, through Trinidad, alongside the coast, past the elk herd, through downtown Orick, and up, up, up, Bald Hills road through more redwood trees.

We almost gave up on our wild flower chase. Then we found it. A real life field of dreams...
